Dr Sangami Ranzil was born and raised in Melbourne and graduated from the University of Queensland with a Doctor of Medicine (MD). She subsequently gained extensive experience working across a broad range of specialities at Monash Health, including much time at Monash Children’s Hospital.
She has a particular interest in paediatrics and young adult medicine, as well as chronic disease prevention but enjoys the breadth of general practice and welcomes all patients.
Sangami is committed to providing empathetic, thorough and holistic care, and is a passionate advocate for her patients.
She is available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Sangami first joined Blackburn Clinic as a registrar in 2024, and has since returned in 2026.
Fees charged by Dr Sangami Ranzil
Dr Ranzil’s fees are guided by the AMA recommended rates. Pensioners, Health Care Card holders, children and full time students under 21 will be charged a substantially discounted fee, with their out of pocket gap reduced by 50% for standard consultations.
Patients who hold a DVA card are billed according to DVA Guidelines (see https://www.dva.gov.au/access-benefits/veteran-card). Visits by Gold card holders are almost always billed to DVA, while visits by White card holders can only be billed to DVA for eligible conditions.

Missed Appointment fee: Dr Ranzil may charge a fee if you miss your appointment, and do not cancel with at least one hours’ notice.

Ear Microsuction
This appointment type must be booked by our reception team to ensure the appropriate equipment is available. The patient must be assessed in a prior appointment by Dr Ranzil (or any other GP who consults from Blackburn Clinic) to ensure suitability of ear anatomy and to ensure appropriate ear drop preparation. The ear microsuction will take approximately 15 minutes (one ear) or 30 minutes (both ears).
Weight Management
30 minutes for the initial appointment, subsequent appointments are 15 minutes. The out of pocket gap after Medicare rebates for the first Weight Management appointment is in the table above. Follow up weight management appointments should be booked as Standard Appointments and will attract a standard consultation fee.
