Robert joined the Blackburn Clinic team in 2022. He completed a degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Melbourne in 2017.
He is available 3 days per week and specialises in Men’s Health, Child’s Health and Chronic Conditions. Robert is fluent in English and Italian.
Fees charged by Dr Robert Rametta –
from 1 November 2025
Dr Rametta’s fees are guided by the AMA recommended rates. Pensioners, Health Care Card holders, children and full time students under 21 will be charged a substantially discounted fee, with their out of pocket gap reduced by 50% for standard consultations.
Patients who hold a DVA card are billed according to DVA Guidelines (see https://www.dva.gov.au/access-benefits/veteran-card). Visits by Gold card holders are almost always billed to DVA, while visits by White card holders can only be billed to DVA for eligible conditions.

Missed Appointment fee: Dr Rametta may charge a fee if you miss your appointment, and do not cancel with at least one hours’ notice.

Complete Health Checks
An inclusive in-depth check suitable for all patients aged 35-65 years. This gender inclusive whole body checkup comprises a heart risk evaluation and ECG, respiratory assessment, diabetes check, lung function test, skin cancer check, eye check, hearing screening test, risk evaluation and gender specific checks (breast, cervical screening, prostate) as appropriate. Ear Micro Suction
This appointment type must be booked by our reception team to ensure the appropriate equipment is available. The patient must be assessed by Dr Rametta (or any other GP who consults from Blackburn Clinic) to ensure suitability of ear anatomy and to ensure appropriate ear drop preparation. It will take approximately 15 minutes (one ear) or 30 minutes (both ears). More details.
Iron Infusions
Dr Rametta performs on-site iron infusions for eligible patients (with iron deficiency anaemia). Dr Kong, Dr Ashdown and Dr Rametta perform these appointments but all Blackburn Clinic GPs can authorise the service for their patients where medically appropriate. This model offers considerable savings compared to the traditional day-surgery model (current out of pocket cost after rebates are around $290, or $155 for Concession patients).
