Dr Elliott has four adult children and is a keen golfer when family and work commitments allow the time. He joined the Blackburn team in 1999 and was a Principal of the practice for many years, stepping down in 2024. Dr Elliott has been active on the Medical Boards of Mitcham Private Hospital (Chairman until 2003) and is currently Chairman of Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital. He attends Blackburn Clinic patients requiring rehabilitation care at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr Elliott was Managing Partner at Blackburn Clinic for almost ten years, stepping down at the end of 2015. His medical interests include all aspects of family practice, particularly paediatrics, and geriatric medicine.
Fees charged by Dr Peter Elliott –

Dr Elliott’s fees are guided by the AMA recommended rates. Pensioners, Health Care Card holders, children and full time students under 21 will be charged a substantially discounted fee, with their out of pocket gap reduced by 50% for standard consultations.
Patients who hold a DVA card are billed according to DVA Guidelines (see https://www.dva.gov.au/access-benefits/veteran-card). Visits by Gold card holders are almost always billed to DVA, while visits by White card holders can only be billed to DVA for eligible conditions.

Missed Appointment fee: Dr Elliott may charge a fee if you miss your appointment, and do not cancel with at least one hours’ notice.

Ear Micro Suction: This appointment type must be booked by our reception team to ensure the appropriate equipment is available. The patient must be assessed by Dr Elliott (or any other GP who consults from Blackburn Clinic) to ensure suitability of ear anatomy and to ensure appropriate ear drop preparation.
